COMEDY STORE LONDON - The Funny Side
"The Funny Side" claims to offer a friendly yet upmarket alternative to the regular comedy experience in London. There is a distinct innovative character to The Funny Side which comprises of two clubs called "The Funny Side...of Covent Garden" and "The Funny Side...of The City".
The Funny Side of Covent Garden is open on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday with a list of acts and shows lined up one after the other. It provides an upmarket experience of the best local acts and the most interesting international talent visiting London. The Funny Side of Covent Garden is located downstairs of The Comedy Store right in the centre of Covent Garden’s Theatreland within easy access of three tube stations (Covent Garden, Temple and Charing Cross) and the main market.
Every night, the show starts at 7:30pm. Children under 16 years of age are not allowed and all under 18's should be accompanied by an adult. It's always a good idea to carry a valid photo identification if you look younger.
The Funny Side of Covent Garden has a large bar where visitors can enjoy snacks, main meals and a variety of drinks. If you plan to dine at the venue, then booking a table before hand is recommended.
The Funny Side of The City is the newer venue of The Funny Side providing the same elite, friendly experience as The Funny Side of Covent Garden. It is located in the heart of London, just a walking distance away from St. Paul's Cathedral and several important tube stations (St. Paul's, Barbican, Moorgate and Farringdon). The Funny Side of The City opens every Thursday and combines top UK acts with selected International talent thereby creating an atmosphere of fun and excitement.
The rules for The Funny Side of The City are just the same as The Funny Side of Covent Garden wherein the show starts at 7:30pm and under 16's are not allowed. Under 18's are given entry only if they are accompanied by an adult.
The Funny Side of The City is located downstairs of The Spectator and thus, has a large bar which provides a wide range of options for both food and drinks. Booking a table in advance is recommended if you’re looking to have dinner at the venue.
